High Africa consists of two adjacent areas: the ‘High Africa Adventure Centre’, and the more rustic ‘Under The Bluegums’ site. The venue is group orientated and suitable for conferencing, team building getaways, weddings and other private functions, and school camps or outdoor adventure programmes. There are additional rooms available for teachers, group leaders and facilitators.
Whether you need only one site or both, our accommodation can be booked in a way that best suites your groups needs.
high africa ACCOMMODATION
This area has 8 en-suite chalets sleeping 4 adults or 6 children in each. Additional accommodation is available in “Sugar Loaf” which houses 3 en-suite 2-bed units.
Meals are served from a well equipped kitchen in the thatched boma, as well as an outdoor braai area. Overlooking the Breede River, is a relaxing log cabin styled deck and pub area.
Under the bluegums
Under The Bluegums has a lawn rolling down to the river with a wonderful gathering area in the shade of large trees. There is a versatile dining/function hall called “Under the Blue Gums” which can seat up to 80 guests.
This venue is serviced from its own well equipped kitchen. Along side there is a friendly pub and large braai area. There is a selection of 12 rustic bungalows sleeping between 4 and 8 per room, and is served by communal ablutions.
